Derelict Vessels. Volusia County hates them! They're dangerous eyesores that are detrimental to the environment. Removing these abandoned boats is more challenging than it may seem. It involves state and local government cooperation, time-consuming investigations, notices, and, finally, removal. But, no matter how long it may take to work through the processes, Volusia County's Environmental Management and Coastal Divisions are committed and working hard to get them where they belong, in the dump.
