The subject of a call about an armed person threatening others at 3946 Lakeshore Drive, New Smyrna Beach, was shot and injured Sunday afternoon after advancing toward a deputy. The subject was stabilized and transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. No others were injured. Additional information will be provided in a future update.
